Meet Our Leadership

Pastor - Lewis Richerson

Lewis has a Master of Divinity degree and is currently a PhD student in preaching at Southwestern Seminary. He currently works at the seminary in the Admissions Office. Before coming to Southwestern Lewis served as a pastor in Louisiana. Lewis’ passion is for The Cross to be driven by evangelism, governed by the Bible, and sustained through prayer. Lewis is married to Erica and they have three children Dalton, Carlie, and Anna. Erica’s passion is for her family and she serves her husband and family well. She serves The Cross by coordinating the Children’s Ministry at The Cross. She has a degree in Nursing and works one day a week as a labor and delivery nurse. Erica has also completed her Certificate of Education and Ministry from Southwestern.

Pastor of Theology - Thomas White

Thomas has a PhD in Systematic Theology and a Master of Divinity degree from Southeastern Seminary. He ministers to The Cross Baptist Church through leadership, evangelism, and preaching alongside our Pastor, Lewis Richerson. Thomas serves as Pastor of Theology voluntarily because of his love for the local church and his passion for regenerate church membership. Thomas works at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary as Vice President for Student Services and Communications and as Associate Professor of Systematic Theology. His wife Joy also has a Master of Divinity degree and is working to finish her PhD in Systematic Theology. Joy has a passion for women and helps coordinate the Women’s Ministry at The Cross and she works in our Children’s Ministry. Thomas and Joy have one adopted daughter, Rachel.

Minister of Worship through Music - Justin Williams

Justin is currently working on his B.A. at The College at Southwestern. Upon finishing his undergraduate he plans to get his Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is married to Kristin who is also a student at The College at Southwestern.
