The Cross Baptist Church

Welcome to the webpage of The Cross Baptist Church. Thank you for your interest in The Cross. We are a body of believers committed to the expositional preaching of the Word, prayer, regenerate church membership and evangelism. It is our passion and desire to be a church “equipped for the work of the ministry.” As God led a group of people to begin this church, initial searches indicated that this name has not been taken by any other churches in the Fort Worth area. We believe that this name represents what we believe. First and foremost, the church should be about sharing the Gospel which is the story of the cross where Jesus Christ paid for our sins. The cross leads to the death, burial, and resurrection which form the foundation for our faith.

Additionally, this name contains the word Baptist which indicates our heritage in a tradition that believes the Bible is completely without error, that our preaching should be text driven, that baptism is by immersion of believers, that the church operates by congregational rule, that church discipline guards a regenerate church membership, and that the Lord’s Supper is a meaningful, symbolic celebration. There are other things we believe but this name gives attendees an idea of what you will find if you choose to join with us as we seek to be ministers of reconciliation.
